“Touch and Go” Performance
Celery Soup’s inaugural production, “Touch and Go” tells the stories of the people of Sanford, Florida: their struggles, their victories, their losses and their indomitable spirit. The title “Touch and Go” is both a nod to the take-off and landing maneuvers of pilots, as well as an apt description of how many times Sanford and Florida recovered from near disaster: frozen oranges, the celery crop going south, sweeping fires and the closing of the Naval Air Station to name a few.
Through the eyes of the Navy Pilot, we discover Sanford’s tenacity, strength and courage. “Touch and Go” features a cast of 70 local actors, all ages, from all parts of Sanford, in a full-length production with original music. “Touch and Go” promises to make you laugh out loud and touch your heart in this riveting production that is all about Sanford, all about Florida and all about you.
